In October 2025, we launched our first *seed funding initiative* to support Gazan architects to be involved in the reimagining, reconstruction and restitution of their communities.

This dedicated fund will support local architects in Gaza to remain at the heart of rebuilding their own communities. Over the past year, we have been working closely with local teams to support them in the design and re-building of two devastated sites. The funding will allow for Gazan Architects to take the lead in reconstruction efforts, as they should.
The fund will support both re-build and training. It will strengthen local skills, and facilitate professionals in Gaza to design, detail and develop reconstruction projects, as well as receiving support from AFG’s local and global network of designers and professionals.
